What is the Cloud Modernisation Assessment?
A free online assessment of your Microsoft cloud platform. You rate 53 components across the eight COMPASST hubs, and we show you where you stand today, where the gaps are and which gaps matter most.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The assessment, your gap map, your report and your roadmap call are all free.
Why do I need an account?
Your answers and results are saved to your profile, so you can stop and carry on later, download your report at any time, and retake the assessment to track your progress.
How long does it take?
About seven minutes. Your progress saves as you go, so you can leave and come back whenever suits you.
Who should complete it?
Someone who knows how your organisation uses Microsoft 365 day to day, such as an IT lead or operations manager. It’s worth checking any “Not sure” answers with colleagues before the roadmap call.
What does it cover?
Collaborate, Organise, Modernise, Process automation, AI, Secure, Single source of truth and Transformational change: the eight COMPASST hubs across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Fabric and Azure.
How is my score calculated?
Each component scores 0 if it’s not in place, 1 if it’s partly in place and 2 if it’s in place and governed. “Not sure” scores 0 and “Not relevant to us” is left out. Each hub’s score is the share of possible points you reached, from 0 to 100, and your overall score is the average of the eight hubs.
What do the levels and targets mean?
Scores of 0 to 24 are Getting started, 25 to 49 Developing, 50 to 79 Established and 80 to 100 Leading. Each hub has a target of 70, or 90 if it’s linked to one of your goals. The gap is the distance between your score and the target.
Is this a technical scan of our Microsoft tenant?
No. We don’t connect to your systems. Your score is based on your own answers, and we confirm the picture with you on the roadmap call.
How does it relate to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework?
The assessment follows the phases of Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework, and your report shows which phase each gap sits in. It’s a Saueglobal assessment, not a Microsoft product.
What happens after I finish?
You get your gap map straight away and your report is saved to your profile. You can then book a free roadmap call, where we confirm your answers, design your target cloud platform and set out the roadmap to close your gaps.
What happens to my data?
Your answers are stored in your Saueglobal account and used to prepare your report and roadmap call. Your answers, without your name or contact details, are analysed by our assessment service to produce your score. You can download your results or delete your account, and everything in it, from your profile at any time.
